Getting it moving in 2009

Good grief - it’s the new year already!

I’ve been busy busy trying to clear decks and turn new leaves over, but the work thing is just getting in the way all the time. So there is only one solution.

During 2009, blogging and social media will become my ‘work’ - that way I won’t keep being distracted from it by stuff I’m trying to leave behind. After all, things are changing in the design world - new means of presentation, video and audio much more prevalent, blogs on the up and up - the internet is growing in power and influence, and it’s time to get on it.

It’s the last day of 2008, and I have some writing to do, but before the midnight hour hurls me kicking and screaming into the brand spanking new year, I will have formulated a plan and put it on paper - a plan to help me move my emphasis over to the new media I want to embrace.

If I have one resolution for 2009 it’s to stop doing things I ‘have’ to do, and move on to the things I want to do. Why do I suspect that time management is going to have to be top of the agenda for me???

Here’s to a truly spectacular 2009 for all.

A First Toe in the Creative Water

Starting a blog from scratch is quite a scary thing - although in truth the first few entries will be seen by noone but the author and their friends…

Nevertheless, this is the beginning of what I hope will be a successful centre for exchange, entertainment, information and the occasional rant.

It will focus largely on graphics because that’s what I do - but I also write, and I’ve found my pastels again, so a bit of painting and drawing is also on the cards.

All creative and arty peoples of Portsmouth, environs and beyond are welcome to comment and contribute.

Let’s answer a question - ‘what’s going on?’
